Behind the Work
When Ford celebrated the Mustang’s 54th birthday, we saw an opportunity to join the conversation in a way only Camaro could. Rather than attacking our rival, we chose to celebrate it.
We created a film that wished Mustang a happy birthday, acknowledged its place in automotive history, and showed the respect that exists between true competitors.
Then, in classic Camaro fashion, we made sure to have the last laugh by letting Camaro blow out Mustang’s birthday candles.
Results That Matter
The film successfully hijacked Ford’s #Mustang54 conversation, generated strong engagement among muscle car fans, was featured in AdAge, and earned a Bronze Dubai Lynx.
Most importantly, it showed that rivalry can be playful, respectful, and highly effective.
